You’re an Athlete, be proud!

I love the clip above and the message it portrays! Who am I? What am I about? These are not questions one should look to others to find the answers. Although people, friends, coaches, teachers even parents will be more than willing to add their opinions it will be up to you to decide.

Don’t believe or buy into the labels that others will try to give you! Don’t listen to the voices of doubt that will or do surround you! Find yourself through what you love to do! That may be music, sports, debate, writing, acting, singing, dancing, climbing mountains etc.

There is great power that comes from stating, as the Olympic video- Best of you  suggests, “I am an athlete” or whatever it is you do. Athlete’s and performers in general have a tremendous work ethic. They are driven to excel, to be the best they can be. They view things as a challenge instead of a threat and they don’t quit, ever! They don’t make excuses, they make things happen! They aren’t satisfied or content with 2nd they are constantly working to improve themselves and their game!

So who are you? Who are you becoming? Who do you want to be? Most importantly, what are you going to do today to get you closer to that vision? Because there is no standing still, you are either getting better or your getting worse. So sit down, set some challenging, realistic, attainable goals and go get it!

You are an athlete! You are remarkable! You can do anything you set your mind to!

Believe it!   Train it!   Trust it!
